In the late 1980s, Disney opened a fast-food style Mickey Mouse restaurant called Mickey’s Kitchen completely outside the parks. It opened at Glendale Galleria in California and Woodfield Mall in Illinois, serving burgers, fries, pizza, chicken nuggets, breakfast plates, and kids’ meals! Mickey would even appear as a chef!
