Great Question! Why do some people have few TXV failures and some have many? Several reasons! The TXV has been around since the days of Willis Carrier so it's not new technology. The big issue started around 2013/2014 when a major compressor manufacture used a rust inhibitor that reacted with POE oil and it gummed up TXV's.
